Father Norman Fischer

Biography

Father Norman Fischer is a talented artist and a Catholic priest in the Diocese of Lexington, KY. He was inspired by the beauty of Kentucky nature while growing up in Perryville, and his love for Christian art was simply reinforced through his Catholic upbringing and the beautiful sights of Catholic Churches, Cathedrals, and religious iconography.

While attending Centre College, Father Norman double-majored in both Art and Psychology. He studied art under the important and gifted artists, Sheldon Tapley and Stephen Rolfe Powell. While his faith led him to seminary and he now serves as a priest, Father Fischer still finds great joy in sharing his creative artistry with new venues, such as hosting “Artist Retreats,” donating his art for certain projects, and seeing his art go to other special collections like the late St. John Paul The Great in Jubilee Year 2000.
Father Norman believes everyone has the gift of beauty and can at least appreciate it, if not express it artistically, because we all are made by the same author of love and beauty. His favorite mediums are acrylic paints, charcoal, and paper collage.
